The Why:

Many people are upset and frustrated about the state the world is in— from the “us vs them ”mentality that dominates discourse, the increasing lack of civility that has led to greater violence, to the expanding toll climate change and pollution are having on the environment and people’s quality of life.

Lyle Benjamin, founder of the nonprofit organization Planned Acts of Kindness, has created a series of innovative programs under the banner “One Planet – One People” and declared 2020: The Year of World Kindness with the goal of people around the world doing 1 Billion Planned Acts of Kindness.

“We are all in this together” Benjamin states. “And, if we don’t start acting like we are “One Planet – One People” 10-15 years from now the world will be tremendously different for billions of people, and not in good way.”

The What:

The Kindness Games were created to give people the structure and system to do good on a consistent basis with the opportunity to receive recognition and rewards for their positive actions. In other words, we gamified Karma.

The How:

Everyone, regardless of their background, is invited to compete in the Open category as a member of the Human Race. 😉

The When, The What, The How:

Each month through the Karma Club, you’ll compete and earn points in four different activities:
• Daily PAKs (Planned Acts of Kindness)
• Outreach & Engagement
• Volunteering
• Support

Activities:

When you do an activity, you’ll login to your account and submit what you’ve done. It’s very simple do, after you’ve done it once. 😉

Recognition:

Your achievements will be recognized on a leaderboard which shows your name, activity ranking and points earned. At the end of each month, leaders are announced in each of the four activities as well as the overall cumulative point leaders.

Rewards:

In addition to the cosmic and karmic rewards of doing good for others and having that come back to you, you can earn PAK achievement reward certificates that acknowledge and express our gratitude for your service. Rewards in the form of gifts are also given out to random members of the Karma Club who have achieved higher levels during the course of the month. Additional rewards may be awarded in conjunction with your group or organization.
